Please note NYS PFL is available only for those sickened by COVID-19 or have to care for a family member sickened by it (as always is a part of PFL). However, in regard to school closing, it’s only available if the school is closed to a mandatory order of quarantine. If the school closes for preventive social distancing, the PFL is not available.
